    Archived Film Images

These photographs date back to the mid-seventies to eighties. They are images of prints made from the wet darkroom era. Films used were Tri-X, Plus-X, chemistries such as D-76, Dektol, Photo-flo, Hypo Clear. Dodging and burning tools made out of cardboard with cutouts and shapes made with x-acto knives. Those were the days....no stabilization, under expose and over develop if necessary, make sure to take up the film slack in the camera and keep an eye that the wind up knob turns when you advanced the film. At least today you still have to keep your eyes open and the shutter finger ready!
